Project Name: HOME - Habitat Open Management Engine

Time Period Reporting On: February 11th - February 25th
Progress Made
Work on the SoftwareRequirementsSpecification (SRS) has begun, and is moving smoothly. Since the last Status Report, we had another successful meeting with Fred Silva, this one over the phone. There was little else done since the last status report, however, taking on the SRS for the first time is a formidable task, and we have not taken it lightly.
We have also found it next to impossible for us to all meet at a specified time. Our schedules conflict far too much. The search for a good meeting time significantly slowed our progress.
Plans for Upcoming Time Period Until Next Status Report Due
We will continue to work on the SRS, up to the first draft due when Milestone 2 is due. We will also work on the ProjectPlan, and revise it so that it is more accurate and complete. None of us were pleased with the ProjectPlan the first time around, so it will be receiving a healthy amount of attention in the next week.
Issues Resolved
Since we had very few issues before, if any, no issues have been resolved.
New Issues to be Addressed
We must find a solution to the problem of not being able to meet all at once. Currently, our solution is to split the work into two separate tasks, and have two TheHomeTeam members work on each task. Tom and Jim are working on the SRS, and Jon and Denny are working on the project plan. Both documents will be subject to peer review by the other two team members. Whether or not this will be a good solution to our problem is yet to be seen.
