Milestone Completion Summary for CSC333 (Spring, 2003)
Milestone Number: 1
Team Name: Gender Initiative Project
Team Members (and Roles, including leader):
- Dana Champion, Project Liaison, Project Proposal
- Dave Lanzer, Project Plan
- Jason Long, Team Leader, Webmaster, Presentation
Due Date: 18 February 2003
Summarize Results of Milestone:
- During this milesone we made contact with the project organization (Messiah College Gender Center), discovered their database needs, and wrote a proposal. They approved our proposal to develop a database for their calendar of events, resource contacts, and research library, in three iterative stages. We also drafted our preliminary project plan. We will give our classmates an overview our project through a 15 minute presentation.
- We have changed the plan for Milestones 3, 4, and 5 from the waterfall method presented in the syllabus. Instead, on these milestones, we will release three successive versions of the total database system. Each milestone will now include analysis, design, prototyping, implementing, and testing artifacts.
Strengths of Milestone:
- The Gender Center is very excited about our work. They seem positive about having the project developed in a carefully thought out and documented process.
Weaknesses of Milestone:
- Since we changed the milestone contents, our project deliverables are a little less well-defined. We will have to pay close attention to what we need to get done by each milestone.
Project Status:
Choose one of the following project status indicators:
