Summarize Results of Milestone:

• During this milestone we were able to continue implementation of the system. We were able to implement almost all of our originally specified Iteration 1 functionality (the Calendar subsystem), as well as the add, edit, and view functionality for the Contacts and Library subsystems. We were able to complete a test plan and define a final set of features for the system so that we can soon freeze the implementation of new features, and finish testing and debugging. We were able to present a prototype of the system to Michele on two occasions for her to review and make comments, and once to an open meeting of the Gender Initiative for their review and comments. This was also an opportunity to answer their questions about this project and the system, as well as give them some familiarity with their new system.

Strengths of Milestone:

• During this milestone we were able to receive feedback from our system users on a running system. Since they were able to interact with the system at first blush with little guidance, and we were able to engage in dialogue based on a live example and not solely ideas in our heads, we have greater confidence that we will deliver a system that they will find easy to use and will do what they need it to do.

Weaknesses of Milestone:

• As expected from the beginning, we will not get a chance to implement all the features we first discussed. We are concerned that the gender initiative not be disappointed by a sense of the project not being "done."

• Green: The project is on track. We were able to finish the core, critical features. We are at a good completion point.
